The average Dutch person owns 173 items of clothing, of which 50 items are unused for more than a year.

 

Besides already having a full closet do we on average buy 46 new items per year. What is our need wanting more and new if we already have enough?
 
For the thesis of her bachelor studies Fashion and Textile technologies at saxionnl she researched the textile recycling system in the Netherlands and how to influence, inform and inspire consumers and the industry.

 

Besides this she made an up-cycled denim collection while creating structures and researching how to use up-cycled denim as effectively as possible.

 

As result the Problem Solved collection was developed.
